Decide who is speaking, to whom and what changed. Concrete scenes, objects and consequences keep the lyric from collapsing into generic emotion.
Write a hook that survives one listen
Center the title phrase, keep its syntax simple and let the surrounding lines change its meaning. A strong hook can be repeated without requiring the same vocal performance each time.
Match lyric density to vocal behavior
Fast connected rap needs compact stress patterns and breathing points. A low mezzo testimony needs held declaration words and open response space. Do not write more syllables than the performance can carry.
Use section tags as direction
Organize lyrics clearly, but keep production direction in the style prompt. Use short performance notes only where the lyric needs a pause, response, spoken turn or controlled repeat.
